Canadian wildlife is a limited natural resource that can be valued provided it is treated conscientiously and responsibly.
Mission:
Ecofaune Boréale intends to devote itself to carrying out applied research combining technological development, technical assistance, knowledge transfer, and dissemination of information, as well as the acquisition of innovative social practices allowing all actors involved in developing Nordic fur and its value chain¹ to reposition economically in relation to the reality of the global fur, leather, and leather products market. Moreover, Ecofaune Boréale aims to be in compliance with eco-responsible and sustainable development requirements as well as in harmony with First Nations.
Vision:
Écofaune boréale aims to be the leading Canadian applied research and transfer center for the sustainable development of natural fur and leather, as well as the entire animal.
